Melanie Staples is the daughter of Dr. Ned Staples. She is a young Caucasian female with blond hair which she wears in a ponytail. She also wears a red headband that appears to be plastic but which is actually a cybernetic control for the Mecha Mutt. She seemed very friendly. She appeared to have an interest in Fred, but this was probably an act. Inwardly she was self-absorbed, unstable, and bent on revenge. She seemed not to care about hurting innocent bystanders. She controlled the Mecha Mutt for revenge on her father, who has always ignored and neglected her, and never see how brilliant she is.
